Beginners-friendly programming workshop
November 5, 2017 at 10:30 am - 5:30 pm
Is programming something you always wanted to try but never got the chance? Do you maybe feel it is a world you don’t belong in or it is something too difficult for you? We believe this is not true! Programming is loads of fun and everyone can learn how to program. And it is never too late to learn something new! We believe that the programming world is lacking diversity and it is time we changed that.
ClojureBridge aims to increase diversity within the programming community by offering free, beginner-friendly Clojure programming workshops to people from underrepresented groups.
Our events focus on creating welcoming and inclusive environments so that people of all different genders, orientation, ability, age, ethnic group or class can feel welcome and comfortable in our industry.
We chose Clojure as the programming language to be used for our workshops. Clojure is a general-purpose programming language that is simple, fun and we think very suitable for learning.
If you are interested or you know someone that might be interested feel free to join our first ClojureBridge workshop in Amsterdam! Please fill in the application form; We will try to accommodate as many participants as possible to the first round. For the rest more workshops will follow!
