With the workshop #AlgoKitchen we opened a space of discussion over BigData. After engaging successfully with the participants, we decided to shape the workshop into a working group. The aim is to cook together how to understand different families of algorithms with the use of different recipes on each session, in a familiar and secure environment where everyone is welcome to come, share, learn and cook recipes over BigData.

We are planning another Algorithmic Kitchen session just before the break of summer holidays for Friday 14th of July under the codename “Digital Detox Cherry Salad Smoothies”. We will be looking at a family of algorithms known as “recommender systems”.

This time the session will be shorter: we will start at 2pm and have dinner at 7pm.
